Ptolemaei Tabulae Cosmographicae is a landmark printed codex of Claudius Ptolemy’s Geographia, one of the foundational works of Renaissance cartography. The 1486 edition was produced in Ulm by Johann Reger, closely following an earlier 1482 German printing and based on Italian manuscript sources. It contains Ptolemy’s geographical text paired with a suite of woodcut maps showing the known world according to ancient coordinates, including regional depictions of Europe, Africa, and Asia. This Ulm edition helped transmit classical geographic knowledge across northern Europe and influenced later mapmaking.
