The Prague Haggadah is a Passover Haggadah printed in Prague by Gershom ben Solomon ha-Kohen and his brother Grunim, completed on December 30, 1526. It is the earliest complete illustrated printed Haggadah known to survive. Its more than sixty woodcuts depict the seder and biblical subjects, while large Ashkenazic Hebrew types and ornamental initial words create an unusually elaborate page design. The edition became an important model for later printed Haggadot, especially within Ashkenazi communities, and helped establish visual conventions that remained influential for centuries.
