The Koelhoff Chronicle is an illustrated city chronicle printed in Cologne by Johann Koelhoff the Younger on August 23, 1499. Written in the local vernacular by an anonymous author, it begins with Creation and gradually narrows its focus toward Cologne's history through the late fifteenth century. Its 368 woodcuts make it one of the most ambitious illustrated products of Cologne's incunable press. The chronicle is especially important for its contemporary account of early printing, which incorporates information obtained directly from the Cologne printer Ulrich Zell.
