The First Constitution of Navarre, written in Navarrese Romance, was drafted in the days of Sancho VI The Wise, king of Navarre. The kingdom of Navarre was very much ahead of its time in every respect, but especially in legal terms. This is particularly evident if we consider that many of the laws written in this manuscript were later copied in the constitutions of other kingdoms.

We have 1 facsimile edition of the manuscript "First Constitution of Navarre": Primera Constitucion de Navarra, Fueros de Navarra facsimile edition, published by Editorial Mintzoa, 2007
