De Revolutionibus is Nicolaus Copernicus's autograph working manuscript of his six-book astronomical treatise, written mainly at Frombork in Warmia around 1520-1541. On 213 paper folios, Copernicus developed and repeatedly revised the mathematical framework of his heliocentric cosmology, accompanied by numerous astronomical diagrams and tables. The manuscript preserves the development of ideas that would appear in print in 1543 and transform European astronomy. Corrections, deletions, additions, and recalculated values make the volume an exceptional record of Copernicus's working process as he formulated his model of a moving Earth.
