The Chronicle of the Council of Constance is an illuminated manuscript of a text composed by Ulrich von Richental, who witnessed the Council, which was held to resolve various issues within the Catholic Church. The Constance manuscript of Richental’s text was produced around 1464. The manuscript is richly illustrated with 102 scenes depicting the events of the council, which famously included the condemnation and execution of Jan Huss, as well as the resolution of the papal schism.
