18 thick folios contain the text of the Epistles attributed to St. Peter and constitute the final part of an original codex made of&nbsp;<strong>papyrus<\/strong> that in its complete version should VIII<\/strong>&nbsp;to&nbsp;<strong>Pope Paul VI<\/strong>. When the papyrus was incorporated into the collection of the&nbsp;<strong>Vatican Library<\/strong>, it maintained the original catalog number. As a whole, the papyri contain segments from the\u00a0<strong>Old and New Testaments<\/strong>, early Christian literature,\u00a0<strong>Homer and Menander<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"720\" height=\"405\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/u817XeHeeBo?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"text-align:left\">The Formal Aspect of Bodmer VIII Papyrus<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Square in shape,&nbsp;<strong>Bodmer VIII Papyrus<\/strong>&nbsp;is written in&nbsp;<strong>Greek<\/strong>&nbsp;with notation in&nbsp;<strong>Coptic<\/strong>&nbsp;probably to facilitate comprehension. It was written by several scribes, <strong>at least four hands<\/strong> can be discerned in the text. The script is a <strong>majuscule<\/strong>&nbsp;quite regular and squared, characterized by rapid, almost&nbsp;<strong>cursive letters<\/strong>.
