Many precious facsimiles pass through our hands each week, but when we unwrapped CM Editores<\/strong>‘ replica of the Papyrus of Ani<\/a><\/strong>, our minds became flooded with questions on how it was produced. Directors Pedro Iribarnegaray<\/strong>and Daniel D\u00edez<\/strong> were happy to answer all of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/span>In October 2019 Pedro, Daniel, and I met at the Frankfurt Book Fair<\/strong>, where they proudly showed me their Papyrus Ani facsimile<\/span><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Giovanni: How did you come up with the idea of producing a facsimile of the Papyrus Ani? Did it stem from a passion or were you inspired by something in particular?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Daniel: We’ve always wanted to reproduce a book that was not just famous, but also surrounded by a certain amount of mystery<\/strong>, and the Papyrus Ani <\/strong>has it all: Egypt<\/strong>, life<\/strong> and death<\/strong>, art<\/strong>, history<\/strong>, and paintings worthy of the tombs of any powerful Egyptian pharaoh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
