The author of this poetry work in Italian is Bartolomeo dalli Sonetti, known also as Bartolomeo Zamberti in catalogues and repertoires.

The book shows the typographic variance, as opposed to other copies of the same edition, of offering two sonnets which appear printed in the sheet s [a] 12 v and [b]3 v, and three sonnets in [c]4 v, which also appear with the typographical signature b with a large size: this singular copy is important because it shows some headings in purple ink as well  as maps of islands that have been highlighted and contain hand notes.

On the back of sheet 40 it shows a manuscript sonet, entitled "Sincerus" and underneath: "Dil virtuoso. Sore Christofino de Orla..." (From the virtuous...).

On the third page, there is a manuscript index.

We have 1 facsimile edition of the manuscript "Isolario": Isolario facsimile edition, published by Vicent Garcia Editores, 2006

International social justice movements and the debates that ensued prompted us to start considering the contents of our website from a critical point of view. This has led us to acknowledge that most of the texts in our database are Western-centered. We have asked the authors of our content to be aware of the underlying racial and cultural bias in many scholarly sources, and to try to keep in mind multiple points of view while describing the manuscripts. We also recognize that this is yet a small, first step towards fighting inequality.

If you notice any trace of racist or unjust narratives in our communications, please help us be part of the change by letting us know.
